How to get a spot at ‘The Great Bin Laden Show’ on CBS.com
A new CBS documentary film series will premiere on CBS on Friday, April 7, featuring an exclusive interview with Osama bin Laden.
“The Great bin Laden Show” is being produced by “The Big Bang Theory” creator Chris Hardwick and executive producer Joe Mena, who also co-created “The Good Wife” with Mena and is now the showrunner for the CBS drama “The Mentalist.”
It is set to be produced by Hardwick’s production company, Hardwick Productions, and Mena’s production studio, Mena Productions.
“We’re thrilled to be able to bring The Great bin bin Laden show to CBS,” Mena said.
“This is a special moment for the show and we’re thrilled the team at CBS is so supportive of this project.”
The Great al-Qaeda documentary series will air on CBS during the network’s “Late Night” and “Nightly News” shows, as well as the “CBS Evening News,” “CBS News Sunday,” “Late Late Show,” “Early Show” and CBS Sports Sunday program.
It will also air on Sunday nights at 8 p.m.
“CBS Films” is executive producing with “The Muppets,” which is executive produced by Mena.
“In This Hour, I” will premiere this week on CBS and CBS Films.
“The Great Osama bin laden show” will be produced in association with CBS Films, the company’s production arm.
CBS Films is an independent production studio based in Los Angeles, California.
In conjunction with CBS Entertainment, CBS Films has developed, produced, and distributed “The Osama Bin Laden Documentary,” “The Bin Laden Diary,” and “The Greatest Bin Laden Story.”
“TheGreat Osama bin laden show” is a part of CBS’ effort to increase its global presence in documentary film.
This project is being supported by the National Endowment for the Arts, which provides funding for film-related content, and The Center for the Study of the Arts.CBS Films and CBS Entertainment are executive producing, along with Menas production studio Mena Production.
“Great Osama Bin laden Show” marks the second time CBS Films and Menas have partnered for a documentary film project.
In 2016, the film, “The Ultimate Bin Laden: Inside the World of the Prophet Osama bin Ladens Greatest Terror,” premiered at the Venice Film Festival.
The film also won the 2015 Sundance Film Festival Film Festival’s Outstanding Documentary Short Film Award for “The Perfect Terrorist,” and was the first documentary film to receive the prestigious Grand Jury Prize at the 2016 Sundance Documentary Film Festival Awards.CBS will be celebrating the 100th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks with a series of events including a special screening of “The 9/13th” in New York City on Friday.
The 9/12th Film Fest will be held in the United Kingdom, including screenings of “10 Things You Should Know About 9/14” and other films that reflect the history of the September 11, 2001, terrorist attacks.
The September 11 memorial event will be live streamed on CBS at 9 p.t.
This year’s event will also include special screenings of films by “A Few Good Men,” “Gangs of New York,” “My Father,” “Dirty Dancing,” “Eighth Grade,” “Million Dollar Baby,” “Honeymooners,” and more.
