‘My Name Is Khan’ Movie Gets Release Date From Sony Pictures Entertainment
The upcoming My Name Is Khizr Khan film starring Khan has been officially announced as being released on February 10, 2019.
The film is set to feature new and returning cast members from the upcoming film including Sylvester Stallone, Idris Elba, and John Krasinski, as well as the return of actor-turned-director-writer-producer Khizri Khan.
The plot revolves around Khizra’s (Elba) struggle to become a better man after being brutally executed by the U.S. military.
It will be released in theaters in the United States and Canada on March 4, 2019, while the United Kingdom and Ireland will receive their respective theatrical release dates on March 20, 2019 and March 24, 2019 respectively.
The news of the film’s release date was first reported by Variety on Thursday.
The My Name is Khan film stars Khiz Randa as Khizrah Khan, the mother of a U.K.-born terrorist and the widow of a suicide bomber who went on a killing spree in London during the First World War.
The film, which stars Khan as the father of Khizrat Mughal, will be based on the memoirs of Khan’s late father, Abdul Aziz Khan, who was a member of the British Army.
Khan is currently the executive producer of the Khan Academy Awards.
The Oscar-nominated actor has been a regular on The Late Late Show with James Corden since 2016, when he received his first Emmy nomination.
In the book, KhizRana wrote that she was initially hesitant to work on the film, given that she had recently lost a husband, and also that she worried that the film might hurt her personal life.
But she was determined to work with the director, who had previously worked with her on the TV series The Big Bang Theory and the Netflix series Stranger Things.KHizr is a popular name for a Muslim-American in the U, and the film is being seen as a positive representation of the diversity of Muslims in the American entertainment industry.
