When Cintime Entertainment opened its doors in 2013, it was a tiny company that had only a handful of employees.
But when it opened its first office, it became the most visited gaming cafe in the country, and it quickly became a fixture in the local gaming scene.
“We just wanted to do what was right,” co-founder and CEO Kevin Gaughan says.
“It was our responsibility to bring a little bit of everything to the table.”
With a little more than four years of operations under its belt, CinTime is now a multi-million dollar company with more than 60 employees, with a goal to open up a second location in New York City within the next year.
But the company is also looking to expand beyond gaming.
“I think it’s important to start to make a real business in the city and beyond,” Gaughen says.
Gaugham believes the company’s success can be attributed to its approach to business.
“When you’re in the gaming space, you’re trying to find a balance between your comfort zone and the business world.
You have to be willing to let go of your comfort and take risks and try new things.
And that’s what we’ve done.”
Gaugha is quick to point out that the company has a large number of employees, but that’s not the only reason it has achieved success.
