Pakistani movie stars to star in first Pakistani movie for Pakistani audience
BAHADUR, Pakistan — Pakistani film star Cinetime Bilet al has signed on to star as the villainous Shahid Raza in Pakistani film Shahid Rashid, which is slated for release on Oct. 3.
The project, which has a global release date of Oct. 6, is being produced by the Pakistani Film and Television Development Corp. (PTDC).
The film, which features a slew of Pakistani actors including Salman Khan, Mian Saad and Salman Khurshid, is set to be released by the company under the banner of Cinestar.
The film, directed by Shahid’s brother Shahid, stars Raza and his nemesis Khan.
In a statement, Shahid said: “My brother Shahad Rashid has been so kind to give me the opportunity to take on the role of Shahid.
The director is confident in the film’s prospects and I am delighted to be a part of it.
I have been in a long-term relationship with my brother Shahida for the past few years, and this is my second movie.
I am very proud of the work I have done for him and his company.
I would like to thank everyone for their kind words and support.
The movie will have many twists and turns and I hope you will enjoy it as much as I do.”
Shahid, who is the youngest of Shahida’s children, has been credited with inspiring a new generation of Pakistani cinema stars.
He was awarded the National Medal of Pakistan in 2016.PTDC Chairman Zaid Ahmed said Shahid was in the final stages of production, but his participation will not be in vain.
“We are excited about Shahid and we are excited to be able to work with him,” Ahmed said.
“I would like everyone to be excited about the film.”
The movie is being written and produced by Pakistani film studio Bajaj Films.
It is the first Pakistani film to be distributed globally and the first in Pakistan to feature an international cast.
